WELCOMING A NEW YEAR

We hope you managed to find some rest and stillness over the holidays.

However you spent your entrance into the New Year, we hope that you are able to feel grateful and hopeful. Something that we often hold on to, which causes a lot of pain, disappointment and stress are expectations.

We urge you, if you have any, to leave them at the door and to enter into this year with openness, with willingness and acceptance for whatever comes your way. If 2020 taught us anything, it’s to surrender. We’ve heard many dance with excitement over leaving 2020 behind and the expectation that 2021 will be better. Of course, we hope and we dream of that, but things could go in many directions, things could even get worse (terrifying eh!). This isn’t here to scare you, but to rather be with the reality of what is. If we just let go of any expectation or control of how we think this year is going to go, whatever happens, we can be present with and approach with love and grace.

Here’s a little mantra to support you through your days.

“I have the strength and courage to move through all that is present in my reality. I am resilient, I am kind, I am love.”

Write it out on a piece of paper, put it on your notice board, on your mirror or fridge. Somewhere that you will see it every day, so that you are repeating it as many times as you remember. You can also use this mantra in a meditation, setting a timer for 5 or 10 minutes, closing your eyes and repeating. Let your cells and every bit of your energy drink up these words.

Lots of love to you.
